I have to admire people who can blog everyday…it was my goal to blog three times a week, but it’s not quite working for me. I think have ADHD just when it comes to blogging. While for the most part I can focus on my photography related task in my life when it comes to the blog other distractions such as texting, facebook, twitter, instagram, and everything else just seem to take me away somewhere else. So now I’m just going to force myself to do it (it’s officially in writing)…blog three times a week! I have enough images, so from now on I will be sharing…a lot more often.
So here’s a little peek of a session I shot recently with Abagale, she such a sweetheart and reminds me of a little pixie! She also has a smile that quite contagious!
So yesterday I attempted to do a facebook ad for my portrait sessions, just to find out that my image was denied!
So according to facebook you cannot use images “Images may not be overly sexual, imply nudity, show excessive amounts of skin or cleavage, or focus unnecessarily on body parts”.
But at the same time they must be “relevant to the product or service advertised.”
Well considering that I am a fine art / boudoir / nude photographer that makes things a little tricky for me!
This is the image I wanted to use…
But instead went with this…(which I like as well, but the above image is definitely more my style).
So as a photographer I change my mind about what images I have taken are my favorites…I actually change my mind everyday. So today I decided to pick some current favorites…to qualify the images had to be shot after January 2012…so this is about as current as it gets! Next week, maybe even tomorrow it will be different but for today here they are (in no particular reason).
It’s been a crazy couple weeks, but I have promised myself that I am going to keep up with the blog no matter what! I have so many plans for this summer I don’t even know where to start…but so far it’s planning on when to get to Chicago this month so I can do some intimate and boudoir sessions…I’m thinking Memorial Day Weekend just might be the perfect time. It’s definitely an adventure starting up in a new place, but I am always up for that adventure…especially in such a wonderful city.
I’ve always been a gypsy at heart, so it makes sense from me to have two studios in two different cities thousands of miles apart. It forces me to get away from my desk and out on the road (or plane, or train). So my goal for this weekend is to come up with my crazy gypsy schedule for the next six months. I think of it this way…Southern California women have had the joy of being sexy in front of my lens for the last several years, why not spread the love a little.
